Arcology is an EVM-compatible blockchain capable of processing multiple transactions in full parallel. Arcology is the ideal platform for resource intensive blockchain applications.
Parallel Transaction Execution: On Arcology, transactions are executed in full parallel to take full advantage of multi-thread / multi-core design. The state consistency is always strictly protected at the system level.
Full EVM Compatibility: Arcology supports all Ethereum RPC-API interfaces. Ethereum developers may continue using their tools and libraries with no modification required.
Composability: Arcology doesn't trade composability for performance. On Arcology, smart contracts can interact with each other.
Concurrent APIs: Apart from some very simple ones, majority of smart contracts aren't naturally parallelizable. The concurrency library helps developers write contention-free smart contracts that can take full advantage of Arcology's parallel transaction execution capabilities.
Modular Design and Intra-node Scaling: Powered by the event-driven and microservice based architecture, an Arcology node can be a group of interconnected machines with functional modules deployed to share the workload.
Tendermint Consensus + IBC support: Arcology's Consensus engine is based on Tendermint core with some changes to boost performance. Full IBC support will be added in the near future.
Performance: Arcology scaling pretty linearly with total resources available, there is no theoretical limit on how fast Arcology can run.
