Benchmarking
Benchmark Arcology Performance TestNet
This document guides you through benchmarking the Arcology Network. You will need:
A live testnet
Pre-signed transactions
This document is intended solely for performance benchmarking. If you are interested in development on the Arcology Network, please refer to the development network document.
Node Setup
An Arcology node can either be a single machine or a cluster of machines. A single machine is much simpler to set up and is more cost effective in terms of resource demands. A cluster setup is more robust and can handle more transactions, but it comes with much higher resource demands and complexity.
It is recommended to start with the single machine setup first. You can then move on to a cluster setup with your own transaction data later once you have gained more experience with the whole process.
Recommendation: Start with a single machine setup before progressing to a cluster setup once you have gained more experience with the whole process.
Please refer to this document regarding the architecture design details.
Showcases
Once the testnet is up and running, you may now benchmark it using the pre-signed transactions for the third-party APPs. It is possible to generate and submit your own transactions to the network for the benchmarking as well.
